Former student Jackson July, who currently attends a local private school, took the creed to heart. He recently shared, "What I liked most about being at Prichard Prep was reading. I was taught that reading is the key to life and can get you the best job, gets you in the best schools, and just gives you a better life by broadening your horizons and interests you in things you wouldn’t think you would be interested in."
When asked what was the most valuable thing he learned at PPS he said, "The most valuable thing I learned at Prichard Prep was self-control. You need to learn how to control yourself and certain behaviors. You can be the smartest person in the world, but if you don’t have self-control you won’t be able to get into places you want to go into. Somebody might not be as smart as you, but they have self-control so they will get the job before you do."
